In April 2015 ARC International completed a Concept Study for the proposed expansion of the Surbeck Center. The final concept proposed a new entry, student success center, meeting rooms & bookstore storage to be located on the upper level and expanded retail & traditional dining and food service storage on east and north sides of the existing Surbeck Center. The proposed addition was approximately 20,000+ SF and the Owner’s project budget was set at $5 million. In December 2017 the project proceeded into Schematic Design. Monthly workshops were conducted with both the Owner and Design Team. The concept design was re-examined, project needs and components were re-vetted and several iterations of schematic design studies were reviewed.
